This year’s Field Day operations were fantastic. There was a substantial amount of inbound Winlink (digital) traffic, and I personally visited three regional club stations, covering some 70 miles ahead of the noon hour, on Saturday, June 22. “Our outreach brought in 85 curious people who have a chance to run GOTA, Message handling via MURS radios. The CW tent had a Morseorino. We had the Boy Scouts getting their Radio merit badge. They visited the FD stations and practiced message handling, CW and GOTA. We were greatly surprised that KSBW news stopped by and gathered material for our local news.”
