Many thanks to the Mount Diablo Amateur Radio Club (MDARC) for hosting Pacificon in San Ramon; it was a truly herculean effort. The October 16 proceedings were highly productive, and included an afternoon stint at the ARRL booth, and CW operation at W1AW/6. I had meaningful discussions with ARRL President Rick / K5UR, Pacific Division Director Kristen / K6WX, Second Vice President Bob / W6RGG, and Bob / NQ1R, Public Relations and Innovation Director. SMs John / N7UR, Mike / N6JGA, and Nevada State Communications Officer Robert / W7NEV shared their valuable perspectives on emergency communications.
