Harry Smith with NBC’s TODAY Show did a six-and-a-half minute segment on a group of high school students who had contact with astronauts via Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS). What makes this ARISS contact so neat is that it was entirely student-led. The program at the school came to be after the faculty advisor graduated from the ARRL Teachers Institute on Wireless Technology.
