W6JWS repeater update, from Bob / K06XX —
Hi everyone,
Paul K6EH and Jim WO6BZ just finished testing the W6JWS repeater in Bonny Doon. It has great coverage except for those very low areas. This repeater was placed here specifically to cover the San Lorenzo Valley area. It has been very costly not only for the county, but out of pocket for a lot of us as well to get this repeater up and running. It will be VERY costly to improve the coverage. There have been many people in our County ARES group who have put time, effort, and money into this repeater, and I want to give everyone a great BIG THANK YOU!! 🙂
