Club Grant Program and Club News, via ARRL headquarters
The ARRL Foundation Club Grant Program is in the review phase as of this publication. With 110 grant applications received, the grant review committee has their work cut out for them. Each grant will be reviewed and evaluated following the guidelines specified in the application. With $500,000 in grant funds to award, the process is a daunting task. Grants are expected to be awarded in November. The scope of the projects that have been funded in the past range from antennas for schools to elaborate station-building programs. The major factor in determining which program is funded has been described as finding transformational projects — those with the most impact on the amateur community and the community as a whole. Stay tuned for additional information on this round of applications.

ARRL Club News is for radio clubs to show how they are working in the community and the hobby to advance amateur radio. If your club completes a project, supports an event, does an EmComm activation, or activates a park, we want to hear about it. You can submit your newsletter article to us at [email protected]. We like to get them as text or Word files instead of PDFs. If you have pictures, please submit them with caption information, as well as the name and call sign of the photographer. We want to highlight the good work being done by the clubs and show others in the community. Think of this as a chance to show off your club and your programs.
